Vintage teacups are a work of art in themselves, but they become even more of a centerpiece when they are made into candles. My friend and I searched a vintage store for teacups one afternoon and found so many beautiful options! I picked the blue and white because I loved the ornate pattern. The purple flowers on the other seemed so elegant!
We followed the tutorial from Design Sponge, which explains the process clearly. Pick out your favorite color and scent to make the candles extra personal! I chose a lavender scent, but I learned that I need to put more drops in next time because I can’t smell it when the candle burns.
I used these as a centerpiece with some flowers for a brunch with my girlfriends and they were so pretty. Just don’t mistake the beautiful teacup for your tea or coffee mug! These would also make a great birthday or thank-you gift. I can’t wait to hear how yours turn out!
