Jalapeño Cilantro Hummus

  • 1 can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 jalapeños
  • 1 bunch of cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup olive oil, or more as needed
  1. Cut the jalapeños remove the inner seeds to decrease the heat of the peppers. (Leave seeds in one jalapeño if you like spice!)
  2. Add seeded jalapeños and all ingredients to a blender or food processor. Pulse or blend on high until smooth. If texture is too thick to blend easily, add another drizzle of olive oil or a teaspoon of water to smooth.
  3. Serve with crackers, pita bread, naan or vegetables. Enjoy!
