Lemonade is one of the most refreshing drinks during a hot summer day. Although the end of summer is approaching, it still feels like summer has no plans to leave Arizona. With this Honey Cucumber Lemonade drink, you will be able to stay cool and hydrated over Labor Day Weekend.
You’ll need: 3-5 slices of peeled cucumber; honey; ice cubes; and homemade or store-bought lemonade (we had Crystal Light on hand and used that). I will demonstrate how to make a single serving, but you could multiply this for a large batch.
Let’s begin. First, add about cucumber slices to a mason jar or glass. Then add about 2 teaspoons of honey.
Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, mash cucumber and honey together to release flavors. Then simply add ice cubes and lemonade! Crystal Light worked, but it would have been more gourmet with fresh-squeezed lemonade.
The cucumber and honey flavors really add a unique dimension to the lemonade…the perfect combination of sweet and refreshing. My family and I sipped this drink at the lake in Minnesota under the beautiful blue skies. I must add that it is imperative to enjoy this drink with a swirly neon straw :)
Everyone loved the Honey Cucumber Lemonade because it is kid-friendly and can be spiked with Vodka for the adults. Here is my adorable little cousin Liz who kept asking for refills! I love introducing kids to new and unique flavors in hopes that they will grow up appreciating gourmet food and drink.
I hope you are able to share this drink with your friends and family over Labor Day Weekend. What fun plans do you have?
