Happy Galentine’s Day to all my gourmet gals out there! I love that this holiday simply celebrates the girlfriends in your life. There are so many women in my life I celebrate and look up to. Those who inspire, support, challenge and encourage me daily. My aunts, cousins, step-mom, grandmas, mentors, co-workers, and friends…the list could go on and on! I love the toast, “Cheers to good women. May we know them, may we be them, may we raise them!” Grab a bottle of champagne – or Prosecco in my case – and celebrate all the incredible gals in your life today.
If you’re looking for a few ways to make your glass of bubbly feel a tad more fancy, here are a few ways to jazz up champagne!
Rim the glass.
Before you pour the champagne into the glass, use a lemon to wet the top of the glass and then drop the glass into colored sugar or fun sprinkles!
Pour a splash of juice or liqueur.
Orange juice mimosas are not the only option for champagne. Try guava juice, blackberry juice, Chambord liqueur or my personal favorite – St. Germain elderflower liqueur!
Add berries.
One of my favorite ways to make bubbly feel fancy is with berries. Whether it’s raspberries, blackberries, sliced strawberries or a few blueberries, they make champagne feel instantly like something more.
Swap glasses.
Instead of the traditional champagne flute you may use, change it up! Swing by the dollar store and see how you can get creative with inexpensive glasses. If you don’t have enough glasses for everyone coming over, embrace the variety you have on hand!
Chill in something cool.
Champagne is best served chilled. Keep your champagne in the fridge until friends come over and then once you pop the bubbly, keep it in a pretty chilling vessel. My favorite is this ice bag, but here are some other ideas of what you could use!
Happy Galentine’s Day!
Love food. Love self. Love life.
