Gabriela Rodiles’ Portfolio

For seven years, I’ve been creating dozens of viral food videos for Food Network. I’ve worked with almost all of Food Network’s most-prominent talent including Bobby Flay, Guy Fieri, Alex Guarnaschelli, Michael Symon, Ree Drummond and more. I’ve also shot, hosted and edited some of Food Network’s top-performing recipe videos each year. Here are a few projects that I’m proud of!

How Much Salt Do Chefs Use?

One of the most-contentious topics for Food Network fans is how much salt to use while cooking. Over the course of months shooting with Food Network chefs, we asked them how much salt *they* add to a pot of water for pasta, and the final montage garnered 11 million views across platforms and fiery conversation in the comments!

Digital Series: Maneet’s Eats

I served as the social lead on Food Network’s digital series Maneet’s Eats. In the series, chef Maneet Chauhan shares some of her favorite Indian dishes – like this Masala Omelet Sandwich (embedded below) which has 855K views on Instagram! While on set, I also shot and produced 11 social-first videos to optimize on TikTok and YouTube Shorts and generate excitement for the series. The videos crushed – like How to Make Homemade Paneer (below) with 505K views and How to Make Perfect Basmati Rice with 757k views!

Homemade paneer has us like 😲😲 Use it in @Maneet Chauhan’s saag paneer and so much more! #ManeetsEats RECIPE ⬇️ 1 gallon whole milk 1/2 teaspoon turmeric 3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt Add the milk and turmeric to a large nonreactive pot and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Stir in the vinegar and salt and simmer until the curd separates from the whey, about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, line a fine-mesh strainer with 2 layers of cheesecloth. Ladle the milk mixture into the strainer and let sit to fully drain, about 5 minutes. Pull the cheesecloth over the solid mixture and fold it over so that it is flat on top and encompasses the solids. Place onto a rimmed baking sheet and place a cutting board on top. Fill a large heavy-bottomed pot with water and place the pot on top of the cutting board to continue pressing out any excess moisture. Let the paneer press until all the moisture has been expelled, about 4 hours. Remove the paneer from cheesecloth, store in an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.

How Tequila Is Made

I had the chance to travel to the town of Tequila in Mexico to get up-close and see how tequila is made! The video has 30 MILLION views across platforms and was one of Food Network’s top performing videos of 2023.

Watermelon Tequila Shots

Food Network fans love watermelon (and tequila apparently) so I was thrilled that this Watermelon Tequila Shots video did so well with 42 MILLION views just on this one Instagram.
