My most favorite Christmas gift of all time is my light pink Kitchen Aid. I will never forget at my family’s holiday baking day when my mom sent my dad and I off to find a special kind of sprinkles for our sugar cookies. When I walked back into the kitchen, all my family was staring waiting for my reaction (and filming of course!) as I laid eyes onto the shining pink Kitchen Aid mixer on the counter. I freaked out and was squealing and jumping! I couldn’t believe I got the most gorgeous mixer and on our family’s annual baking day, nonetheless. This mixer is one of my favorite kitchen items to date and would make the sweetest gift to any friend or family member who loves spending time in the kitchen.
Kitchen “splurge” items don’t even need to be super pricey. A few of these items are under $50! The pepper mill and the kitchen torch are items that will totally step up your kitchen or would make a super cool Christmas gift! Peugeot pepper mills are incredibly high-quality and come in gorgeous colors, heights and sizes. Don’t tell my dad, but I got him a very modern looking black and white pepper and salt mill set for Christmas. I’ve been joking around with friends that everyone should have a kitchen torch on hand because it takes simple things like mac and cheese or s’mores to the next level with a golden brown crust.
The Le Creuset Dutch oven is an absolute kitchen staple, but because of the price tag it had to make the splurge list instead of the essentials. The ceramic pot can do so many things. I wrote a whole post about why it’s one of the most versatile things you can have in your kitchen.
My roommate has a griddle that she uses all the time for turkey burgers, gourmet grilled cheese or even just to warm up a sandwich. I love that this one can be used in five different ways. Plus, you can even swap out the nonstick cooking plates for waffles!
I referenced a blender on the kitchen essentials gift guide, but a Ninja blender is worth the extra splurge. Vitamix blenders are certainly amazing, but they just seemed too pricey to add to the list. The Ninja is a perfect in between, but with the same amount of power.
Ever since I made no-churn java chip ice cream and peppermint chip frozen yogurt, I have been toying with the idea of actually getting an ice cream maker. This would be such a fun gift to get or give because it would certainly give right back in delicious desserts.
A wooden cutting board has been on my wish list ever since I was little, but I’m waiting to buy one until I’m ready to invest and really take great care of it. This teak cutting board is absolutely gorgeous with its marble wood. It would make an incredible gift for someone who has the patience and love for the kitchen. With a little extra love, this board will last for years!
